Official Wrestling News Thread

Several WWE sources confirmed today that the first WWE NXT episode coming out of Wrestlemania 37 weekend is currently scheduled to be held and broadcast on Tuesday 4/13.

There had been rumors to this effect in recent weeks, stemming from a report from The Mat Men Podcast.

At the time, WWE did not respond to the reports (and still have not) but we are told that the production calendar for Wrestlemania week currently lists the 4/13 taping date.

So, while we do not have confirmation of a permanent move, all signs point to the Wednesday Night Wars indeed ending next month. The move would separate NXT and AEW, allowing each series to stand on their own accord with viewers. NXT shifting to Tuesday would also allow for heavy promotion from the previous evening's episode of Monday Night Raw.

If NXT indeed moves to Tuesday permanently, that would place them opposite Impact Wrestling on AXS. The smart money should be put on Impact moving to Thursday nights.

NXT moving to Tuesday on 4/13 means nine straight days of original programming from WWE.

  1. Rock vs Austin 2
  2. Hogan vs Andre
  3. Hogan vs Warrior
  4. Undertaker vs HBK 2
  5. Hogan vs Savage
  6. Austin vs HBK
  7. Batista vs Orton vs Bryan
  8. Rock vs Cena
  9. Cena vs HHH
  10. Roman vs Brock

There are expected to be some changes to this week's episode of WWE NXT following a number of COVID-19 positive tests, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources.

There had been talk about potential outbreaks over the last several days and that talents and staff are currently undergoing testing. PWInsider.com has been told there have been quite a few positives over the last several days, although for obvious reasons, those who have tested positive are being kept private.

We have been told several talents have been advised to quarantine.

One source pointed to a large group of Performance Center/NXT talents doing ring crew this past Thursday as a potential outbreak source. That same source noted that dozens of talents were moving and resetting rings in Orlando with many not wearing masks during that process. The source noted that there needs to be far more enforcement of masks then there has been in some time and hoped the situation would lead to WWE cracking down on enforcement of masks while at the PC.

Currently advertised for NXT on Wednesday:

*Austin Theory vs. Dexter Lumis.

*Isaiah "Swerve" Scott vs. Leon Ruff.

*LA Knight in action.

Too many people starting to get comfortable now that theres all this news about vaccines

Florida dnt even got a mask mandate anymore my brother said but you'd think the talents at the PC would be smart enough to mask up anywys

Multiple WWE sources have confirmed to PWInsider.com that attendance for Wrestlemania 37 will be capped at 25,000 each night at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium. The capacity for football for the Stadium is 65,890, so with additional seating, WWE in a normal era, would be able to get 70,000+ in the venue. Instead, they are aiming for one-third that number for the first WWE event that will allow fans inside the doors in over a year.

There had been rumors making the rounds that WWE intended to put upwards of 45,000 in the Stadium but PWInsider.com has confirmed there was nothing to that story. WWE never sought more than 25,000, which is what they intend to put in the building.

Additionally, PWInsider.com has confirmed the following safety procedures for fans attending the company's flagship event:

*There will be seating pods of up to six tickets in a group with socially distanced seating between pods.

*Masks will be required at all times for all patrons and free masks will be made available.

*There will be temperature checks upon entry and health screenings available.

*All ticketing will be mobile.

*There will be cashless concessions.

:wtf20:
Constantly late to interviews? I would be upset about that too...but a fine woman like that don't need to be anywhere near wrestling. Let alone WWE. Let that contract expire and usurp Molly on First Take

I think she wants to leave. She does shit with ESPN, podcast with some of the women that work there, she’s a personal trainer. She’s good without wwe

Nothin wrong wit broadening her horizons. I forgot about the First Take Her Take podcast. If that's the reason...so be it.
