WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was one of the most important performers in the history of WWE, but Los Angeles didn't care last night.
Hogan, appearing for a live promo as part of a new deal that saw WWE become a minority stake owner in his beer brand, was ruthlessly booed during his appearance.
PWInsider.com is told there were even "F*** Hulk Hogan" chants and that when Hogan later appeared in a pre-taped commercial for Saturday's Night Main Event, that commercial was also booed.
The negative reactions were covered by Deadline.com, Newsweek and Variety, including pieces that connected the negative response to the racist comments that once led to Hogan being suspended from the WWE Hall of Fame and Hogan's more recent right-wing leanings. It should be noted The Undertaker, who has also publicly discussed his right-wing leanings, was not booed at all during his appearance on the show.
