CMLL & NJPW had a joint Fantasticamania event booked for a while now, Steph was due to defend her women's world title but they've had to rearrange plans and vacate both her world and tag belts now. The world title is now being defended in a 3-way match. Willow's one of the challengers now. (CMLL & NJPW are ALL the way locked in so this hurt both of them big time, especially with how they're building the women's divisions)

She had a RevPro booking as a representative of CMLL due to their new partnership, that booking has been blown up. Hurt RevPro since Steph is a draw for UK fans.

Due to the nature of CMLL contracts, they usually let talent walk on short notice if they're offered something bigger in the US. It's now set a precedent for the US promotions to tamper if they feel the need to cos of how easily broken Steph's one was. She didn't drop any of the belts or honour any of her coming bookings so it's put them all in precarious positions now.

CMLL aren't mad from what I understand but I won't be surprised if they (and other lucha promotions) are careful when dealing with US promotions going forward.
