The Wall Street Journal reports that Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis in a Connecticut federal court on Thursday. The complaint states that Grant “was the victim of physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault and trafficking at WWE.” It added that Grant “is filing this lawsuitnot just to address her own suffering, but also to act for those who are afraid to speak out.”
Grant claimed that McMahon and another WWE executive locked her into an office at WWE HQ on June 15th 2021 and took turns sexually assaulting her while other staff were working. Another alleged incident was on June 23rd 2021 when McMahon locked Grant inside his private locker room and forced himself on her over a massage table. Later that day, McMahon’s personal assistant was said to have delivered $15,000 in Bloomingdale’s gift cardsto Grant in her office.
