Official Wrestling News Thread

Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits have been switched to the babyface side of WWE's internal roster.

We've been asked whether the big winter storms in the United States could have a ripple effect on tonight's edition of Smackdown. WWE was trying to avoid the issue as some talents flew yesterday to Omaha and then drove from there. There were somewhere in the area of 1,400 flights canceled today so WWE was smart to have everyone they could fly yesterday. If there are any talents having issues, we have yet to hear about it. We will update if we hear of anything official.

Gable Steveson is expected at tonight's Smackdown taping.

Tyler Blate was officially moved to the Smackdown roster internally, so he's finally on the main roster officially.

There's been some talk of Sheamus getting closer to returning from his shoulder issues, but we haven't heard anything definitive. One would think that if he's good to go, they'd love for him to be back by the Royal Rumble. He last appeared for the company working Adam Copeland's WWE farewell bout.

Internally in WWE, there's been a lot of buzz about how good the Becky Lynch memoir is. The book comes out this March.

Young Bucks vs. Sting & Darby Allin look to be Sting's retirement match at the AEW Revolution PPV. We are told that it was Sting's call as to what the match would be.

The NWA announced overnight that there will be creating "new content" for the CW App. It appears to be that they will be placing NWA Powerrr, which would include some marquee material previously earmarked for PPVs, on the App. There are plans for a Billy Corgan-centric reality series to air on CW this year at some point and that would include NWA material as well.
