Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.com reported this afternoon that there are firings ongoing at WWE HQ in Stamford, CT.

PWInsider.com can confirm we have independently heard the same, but we have not confirmed any specific firings as of this writing

Adam Pearce got a promotion on WWE TV, but he may have sort of gained one behind the scenes.

In October, Triple H introduced Nick Aldis as the GM of Smackdown, promoting Adam Pearce to the role of GM of WWE Raw. For years, Pearce has served as an authority figure on both Raw and Smackdown, some with the help of others, but always with him as a constant. Since then, he’s been Raw exclusive on screen since becoming Raw GM.

However, behind the scenes, Pearce has long been a producer behind the scenes on both shows. We’re told that the on-screen promotion reflects reality, as the working plan as of the fall was for Pearce to only produce on the Raw brand full-time moving forward. It was stressed to us that there would always be exceptions for this.

Pearce has long gained praise from talent and staff alike for his work both backstage and on-screen.
