Paul Levesque was not at Smackdown this past Friday. Bruce Prichard headed up the taping. We are not sure as to why.

The winner of tonight's Battle Royal will face GUNTHER at WWE Night of Champions. The idea we are told is to have a surprise win to make an underdog challenger for GUNTHER.

As we noted last night, it was revealed on WWE's Most Wanted Treasures that the company has acquired master tapes of Angelo Poffo's ICW promotion from Kentucky. In asking around, we are told this was not a recent purchase, just something that had quietly been under the radar from some time back. Last night was the first publicized acknowledgement of the library still existing, much less under WWE's ownership. It makes you wonder what else WWE has hiding somewhere yet to be revealed.

Due the necessary travel required for the 5/27 WWE Night of Champions PPV in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia the 5/26 edition of Friday Night Smackdown will be taped in advance.

This Friday's Smackdown taping in Columbia, SC will commence at 6:45 PM Eastern and tape two episodes of the FOX series.

WWE's exclusive window to negotiate future media rights with FOX and NBC have either expired or are about to, PWInsiderElite.com has learned. WWE CEO Nick Khan noted during the most recent stockholders call that those outlets had about a month of exclusive negotiating rights and the belief within the company is they are about to or have already hit the point where WWE can open discussions with all potential media rights bidders for Raw, Smackdown, etc. in the United States.

As we noted earlier today, neither NBC nor FOX mentioned WWE during today's upfront presentations. PWInsiderElite.com has been told by WWE sources that a big piece of the reason why is that WWE programming is now housed under the sports divisions and today's upfronts were produced by and pushing the entertainment side of those companies.

We have also learned there is an all hands on deck WWE employee meeting slated for Wednesday. We are told this had been planned for some time and is not a late,/unforseen addition to the company schedule

That's enough for me if they book it good!
