While there have been rumors about John Cena possibly facing AJ Styles at Wrestlemania, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Cena’s opponent for the big event:
”I’m told that right now that is incorrect, and Cena is in a much bigger match than Styles. The only thing I was told is it will be clear within a few weeks what that match is.”
Meltzer went on to mention names such as Undertaker, Batista, Goldberg, and Hulk Hogan as possible opponents for Cena although Meltzer wrote that he’d be surprised if Hogan was the person.
- During a recent interview with Sam Roberts, Bobby Roode commented on having the support of WWE:
“Years before I even got here, people talked about the ‘WWE Machine.’ If you got the WWE Machine behind you it’s sky’s the limit. It is absolutely true. Guys like Samoa Joe has always been incredible. AJ Styles has always been phenomenal; he’s been one of the best I have ever been in the ring with and now everyone has the chance to see that.”

You make a valid point.... but wrestling is not always about who puts on the best match ...Tha buildup to a match is important as well ... This past year Tha miz has taken his mic work from good ta legendary

but samoa joe, styles, stroman, reigns, and owens put on far more memorable matches than the miz this year

Miz best mic work was on the after Raw/Smackdown shows with the interviews with Renee Young. Those interviews seemed felt authentic with no kayfabe involved. Dolph is in this same boat.
Creative has to find a way to allow the talent to forget about cheap pops/catchphrases and allow the wrestlers to get their points across without a full script.
