Bud is also 37 and will be 38 this year. Moving up 3 weight classes for money is insane. I get dare to be great but as some has previously posted, there are levels to this shit.

Bud walk around weight is 175/180 and his last fight was at 168… And he got Snack (the steroid dude that was banned from baseball) helping him… Bud will be okay…

There are reasons most fighters (if not all) don't fight at their walk around weight. Wasn't his fight against Madrimov at middleweight (154 pounds)? That's one weight class up and he didn't look that good in that fight. Plus Canelo's chin is underrated. That nigga can take a punch.

Bud fought Madromov at 168 and entered the ring at 169…

I think it’s healthier for fighters to fight closer to their walk around weight versus coming in weight drained…

Floyd fought close to his walk around weight and Tank Davis does too…

Why do you keep saying he fought him at 168 when he fought Madrimov at 154?

I don't think it's a money thing for him. I think it's a legacy thing. I could be wrong though.

It's got to be money. Beating Canelo doesn't do anything for his legacy. Canelo has lost before. I've always hated the blatant racism in boxing. That nigga became a boxing star losing in a fight he got washed in. What part of the fuckin game is this? He is a name but they continue to overprice this nigga. The return can't be worth paying him what they've been paying him.

Canelo lost against a bigger fighter that a lot of people thought he would lose against. Fighters don't usually suffer much backlash when they fight above their station. In this case, Crawford would be the one stepping up, Canelo is a big name. Winning would definitely help his legacy.

It's money

I don't know. If it was just money, he could have pushed for a fight with Tank. Both have fought at lightweight and welterweight before, so that wouldn't even require a jump like with Canelo. That would have made money, but I don't think it would have boosted his legacy as much.

Crawford is already a HOFer, he is pound for pound king, a multiple undisputed champion.

When you say Canelo lost to a bigger fighter, what do you mean? You talking weight? Popularity?
