Can the thunder alter their trajectory and actually try to be and stay competitive or should they continue to look for the future?

like they could Move some of those picks for players if they wanted

Its an interesting question, if you're talking about this seaaon they have more than enough assets to swing a deal that would get them some more help without them giving up much.....ironically enough the probably wouldnt have gave up Grant if they knew they were going to be this good

Realistically though if your Thunder and you're looking at the roster the only long tern foundational piece that you have is SGA so I would still try to build mostly through the draft to see if you can get another core player or 2
 
The thing with OKC is even you decide not to trade steven adams to try and be competitive, you still need to trade Galinari since his contract is in its last year. Even if you cant get much for him, which you clearly cant, you gotta get something.
