there are some segments of the internet who believe their impact is bigger than what it is. But to answer your question more directly, there is no official "black twitter". It's a collection of people with some extremely skewed logic when it comes to a variety of topics. It's a toxic echo chamber of thoughts as a collective

Now, i will acknowledge there is a subset of folks that are like minded, that are interested in dialogue about issues within the black community. I wouldnt call that "black twitter" but just like minded people. They dont have to agree all the time. There are no gatekeepers of these entities which is why people often "infiltrate" them. How many times have you seen "black twitter" get upset that some white company that has been monitoring them and "taking" their ideas to monetize them.

You are on a white company's platform to begin with. You dont own your content on twitter. You put it out there, and if it pops, be prepared to not get any acknowledgment from it or money.

Lets say there was a Tidal for black influencers on Twitter. If something you posted were to pop, that you can in fact without a shadow of a doubt prove you started it, then i think that would be infinitely better than trying to cry on twitter that some white person stole your idea. Twitter in itself is a bunch of people just stealing shit from one TL and putting it on theirs to give the idea they in fact started it in the first place.
i 100% agree with what you're saying, but to say it doesn't exist is just as irresponsible...

because it 100% does.....

group think runs rampart on twitter, Facebook, IG, and you tube.....ESPECIALLY since they all have algorithms that keep a user's feed full of things topics, trends and discussions other members of that demographic seem to enjoy......

i mean i think the goal of this site is the same, to try to capitalize on that demographic. cuz i'm in enough facebook groups n shit like that to know the same shit we talk about in here is being discussed by "black" sub groups on social media all over the internet.

Every "black you tube vied gets posted and discussed in here

every trend "black twitter" is on gets talked about and discussed in here.....

in fact whenever i advertise this site for folk, i tell them it's a one stop shop for pretty much everything that trending towards the black community.....even before "black twitter" gets a hold of it

ok, we agree

i take issue with discussing it like its a corporation that pays taxes or some shit

naw it's definitely a "group think" sub community that no one really benefits off of, except those who have figured out how to market thru it....

ie; Disney/marvel, popeyes/chick-fil-a, power, and all kinds of other trends black folk run with....

I was speaking on Black Youtube more than anything,.

I'm only vaguely familiar with Black Twitter.

Granted, there is no official "Black Youtube".........but more along the lines of what you described.

Which is content creators who have channels that cater to a black audience.

Don't know about compensation on twitter, but on youtube...........content creators get paid if they have enough subscribers to monetize their channels.

Not sure of all the specifics, but compensation is based on how many people view a video......how many people click "like" on the video..........the length of the video.......and whether or not the video originated as a live stream.

compare that to someone like pewdiepie and its pennies

You about to get those genocide cutter threatening messages on your profile if you step on his toes

You know what bothers me is how stupid this woman is, but people believe she is smart because she doesnt sound stupid

She says white supremacy is a non issue, then says illegal immigration is a much more important issue because the black community is meant to compete with the illegal immigrants for jobs.

You mean in America, black people are meant to compete with folks educated in Mexico coming to a county in which they dont speak english. That's the competition for people who have been in this country for over 200 years....

And that's because of ....

giphy (1).gif

Btich is whole idiot, cant even coon right

Why y'all keep giving her attention, we know what she is and nothing she says is shocking
Cause the look of pride she has for telling fallacies to get a pat on the head by white people is too disgusting to ignore. Shes fidgeting in her seat like a lil girl talking to her father about the picture she just drew.

What does "pewdiepie" have to do with Black youtube?

I'm vaguely familiar with him..........and I suppose you're trying imply that he's more influential due to him having a larger overall subscriber base or something.

However, it's not really a fair comparison because you're comparing one person's channel to hundreds or thousands of content creators who cater to a black audience.

There probably isn't one black youtube channel that has anywhere near his subscriber base.

That still doesn't mean that black youtube isn't influential on it's own merits.

It just means that it's not reaching as many people.

Which I never claimed it did to begin with.
