I understand all that

I go to every funeral of a friend or fam member. Just feel like its only right to see em one last time. Had to be difficult for the fam to go thru the motions of putting it all together. The least i can do is offer my presence.

My gf COMPLETELY different tho. Missed her 1st cousin n step father funeral. I personally was close to the step father n was ready to go without her but she didnt want me to. Was kinda sad i missed the shit. I didnt make a big deal out of it tho bc she explained her feelings and it wasnt my place.

I cant ever miss nobody else funeral close to me tho. Idc if im standing up there with snot running down my clothes i gotta pay my respect.

i dont see an issue with celebrating the life of someone. Even if the dead dont directly benefit from it, it's a time to talk about the good times and impressions they left on them

Had a co worker sis passed she in the office and gets snappy with folks so s lot of people don't like her. So they put up the times to the wake and funeral. Made it to the wake, and she was surprised I came. And didn't nobody else show up let her know I wasn't gone to be able to attend the funeral. Couple days once she came back to work I asked her if anybody from the job showed up she was like nope. I was like dang. Just a different aspect of it funny cause I was being genuine with her and wasn't trying to get any cool points but even we walked out from the wake she was like im gone give you some of this pussy!! I was like alright then
