Not going to funerals.

If you're sciencey, you're dead and dont care, if your spiritual you know their spirit is far beyond holding grudges cuz you didn't attend the funeral.
 
All my family and friends know not to expect me at theirs or hell...MY funeral!! Don’t do’em...shits whack...no way around it

I think as long as you respect the person’s life when they’re here it’s be crazy to think not going to a funeral is disrespectful...as living beings we’re tha ones subjected to heart ache and pain...not tha dead so why feel obligated to go thru that pain??
 
Nope it's not disrespectful especially if already had a good/great relationship with them

Depends. I missed the last few family funerals 'cause I didn't have the funds to get back to Michigan. The family understands it though.
 
I'd def go for close family and friends. See nothing wrong with it but a final grand goodbye even on a small scale.
 
If possible I'll go to one or the other. Usually there is a wake and then the next day the funeral. No matter the relationship if we were cool im coming to pay my respect.
 
Had a co worker sis passed she in the office and gets snappy with folks so s lot of people don't like her. So they put up the times to the wake and funeral. Made it to the wake, and she was surprised I came. And didn't nobody else show up let her know I wasn't gone to be able to attend the funeral. Couple days once she came back to work I asked her if anybody from the job showed up she was like nope. I was like dang. Just a different aspect of it funny cause I was being genuine with her and wasn't trying to get any cool points but even we walked out from the wake she was like im gone give you some of this pussy!! I was like alright then

If this is about your grandfather, you should go.



Simply because your mother or father might not understand whatever explanation you give them for not attending......or not wanting to attend.....their father's funeral.



Regardless of your reasons, it won't be worth the potential fallout.
 
this can be added as one of those american traditions...
funerals generally bring people together that u only see during funerals..

Its not disrespectful imo, if that person knew before they perished how you felt its all good not to go.
no need to parade for a show of people who half dont care
