So now its they want to present black men as feminine...but also want to present black men as thugs...but also present black men as sex crazed beasts who will do anything for pussy...so which is it?
Present black men as feminine to advertise to black people but not upset white people

Present black men as thugs to advertise to young black men and secure white people by saying we agree with ur assessment of them as animals

Present black men as sex crazed beasts to advertise to white middle age and above women that fantasize about being with a black man.

Shits multiple faceted fam..don’t sleep

Guess it time to throw white people away then

Can someone explain to me why what Nipsey said was wrong, especially after his clarification?

Deray, wrongfully claimed that Nipsey was saying that violent and gay were equally negative attributes. Nipsey corrected him by pointing out that he believed that violent and gay were equally over-represented attributes. Why should that be offensive? It's a quantifiable statement that can either be proven be wrong or right based on the data available. The truth is that gays are over-represented in the media and other avenues in general. This is a fact. Less that 5% of the people in this country identify as gay. Some polls show that many Americans think almost 30% of Americans are gay. Even if you double or triple or even quadruple the reported numbers of gays to account for those still in the closet, you still don't get the number that Americans believe is out there.

http://news.gallup.com/poll/183383/americans-greatly-overestimate-percent-gay-lesbian.aspx

Now how else could Americans have such a skewed view of how many gays are out there if not for a skewed representation of gays and their issues that's put out there?

Because people overestimate shit in general and will believe any bullshit information. For instance how many times you've seen something talking about "major outrage over random bullshit" yet when actually read up on it there's just one or 2 people who don't like it. Is it really over representation or people making a bigger deal over some shit they dont like trying to get other people riled up like they are?

Here's the thing though...for anyone to fall for that shit they already have to be susceptible to the belief that its true and has some grounding in reality. Those the people who will believe whatever so their opinion is shit and shouldn't even be considered to be taken seriously in the first place

This is true, but the bullshit information has to come from somewhere. Let's be real, if you did a little sample where you watched TV for a week and noted every time you saw a black male appearing or being portrayed on TV, do you really think when you tallied it up, you'd only get about 5 appearances of a gay man out of every 100 black male appearances?

Where are black gays overly represented at? People cant name more than 10 openly gay black men on tv but think gay black men get more representation than straight black men. Sound like bs

Also many gay people especially black arent open because of very real fear for their lives. So how can we be sure the real numbers?

Did you actually read the post? I acknowledged many gays are still in the closet, but again even if you quadruple the reported numbers, you still don't get what people actually think is true. And it's not about gay men getting roles over straight men. The issue is how black men are generally portrayed. Nipsey's whole point is that if you look at the general media portrayal of black men, we are all mostly violent, gay, etc... He was saying those portrayals is inaccurate and it was nice to see an image that didn't support those portrayals. Again, that shouldn't be offensive to anyone, unless you have a problem with straight black men wanting to see people like them fairly represented.

So allow you to take advantage of my less informed and educated brotha cause I’m in my own bag?

That’s how we do, nah the stong fight for the weak when we in the same setting. Cause from a distance the enemy don’t know the strong from the weak. So when they start picking those around you off. Who gone stand wit u?

Da next nigga that say that’s yo problem, or a nigga who problem you made yo problem, so now when they fuck wit u, they got more than you as a problem?

When non whites control everything you must always be wary about agendas and especially how people like you are portrayed. Yes we see white male gays and sidekicks and degenerates etc. But we get a balance of white males looking like alpha's which offsets a lot of the other stuff. Black men are portrayed as either violent thugs, over sexualized demons, stupid, the sidekick, the help/butler or effeminate. That's the majority of black male portrayal in the media.

And side bar..that type of thinking is why there’s coons on Fox News talking shit about black people that don’t “get it”.

He's assuming everyone in that picture is a straight black male though. So lets say it turns out there's 3 gay black men in that picture..does that mean that image can no longer be used as a positive portrayal of black men?

Its not abouy taking advantage of anybody. Its about knowing how to see certain information for the bullshit it is...and not taking those who disseminate said information seriously

This post is wrong on some many levels. But I'll give you time to figure it out before I tell why this post is wrong.

It is about taking advantage of people, that’s what advertising does. Advertising is about taking advantage of people’s beliefs to sell them things.

Look, recently there was a republican politician that was caught on tape saying he is against the legalization of weed because. Studies where done way back that showed it adversely affected African Americans.

And he left it at that, white dude in a room full of white people and there was no audible reaction to what he said. Without saying anything else he is saying. I don’t want weed to be legal cause blacks smoke weed and do the things you fear about black people more often.

That’s basically the nuisance of advertising in live form. Pray on perception, say enough to your intended audience and based on what you presume their beliefs to be. They connect the dots. That’s an old skilled white politician taking advantage of old scared ignorant white people.

Now how do you think that works out for someone in that county who has seizures and weed is the best medicine? And that person..knows better than that bullshit the politician said.
