Unpopular opinion but rap producers need to go back to sampling old funk songs. These generic Trap beats they made 5 minutes messing around in GarageBand just don’t hit the same.
The genuine love for the culture isn't there
The budget probably isn't there no more to pay for samples. A lot of these cats are either independent or whomever they're signed to can't afford to pay for a sample
That too especially how the estates won't hesitate to sue the crap out of artists.
