A couple insights:

  • Hitboy outdid himself on this jawn, haters gon' hate ... I would say the production on KD2 >>> KD1... but I still prefer the first one overall... it's more grandeur
  • Lauryn Hill easily contender for verse of the year... speak your truth ma ...
  • Deathrow East was vintage NaS with the street tales... street's disciple
  • Eminem's verse on EPMD wasn't wack to me ... didn't just fit the song and EPMD were ehhh (da hell happened to Sermon?)... the beat though... tough
  • Hit-boy sounding like Curren$y? ... had to do a double take on the tracklist
  • Brunch On Sundays was funny... I guess some feels were caught
  • I don't have a favourite track yet ... gotta digest it again
  • Life is like a Dice game: that track makes me reminisce me back to secondary school... early 90s ... African sun ... that was the sound on radio back then ... I actually thought that was a bonus on this new album... love it so
4/5 for me on first listen...

But did my song make you reminisce too? NH....

Pete rock been sounding dumb on Twitter for at least a few years now which is why I unfollowed him a while ago. Both these kings disease albums are fire and this new one is my AOTY so far. They obviously have great chemistry so why not keep working together? 🤷🏾
He just coming off as a nigga who doesn’t want history to pass him by and forget him

I’d rather have @Big Lurko version of “LILADG” (I made it an acronym like all tha dope tracks too) on this album over EPMD2…

I can't wait to see how KD and KD2 shuffles peoples Nas albums around when this thread comes.

Another one who doesn’t want history to pass him by

Pete had some slick hatin' shit to say about Premier vs RZA ,and got called out for that bull
These outbursts won't help his chances with any "mainstream" placements if that's his goal

I see DJ Quik, with this same energy, crazy thing is they are both widely recognized as 2 of the greatest
But I guess their pockets doesn't reflect this, cuz they weren't on top of their paperwork back in the day

Nasir is tawkin so much shit on this album...he's on another planet on this shit...phucking brazy...I can't even

Hit Boy showed up and showed out...he stepped his shit ALL the way up

These two muhphuggas 'go together'(nh) now lol

This joint is getting EVERY award *including* AOT -muhtherphucking-Y

Shit's beautiful

Except...y'all know the one lmao

who remembers Pete Rock basically crying about Lupe remaking the TROY beat, apologizing to him + telling him he would publicly apologize and then saying fuck it and recanting….
I didn’t know Pete Rock was on fuckboy time for so long

Y'all...this is Hit Boy's magnum opus

His production is beyond stellar...shit's godly frfr

Composure doe...
:clawd2:

If y'all not getting lifted and listening to tis album...you're doing it all wrong

It's hitting different on this listen...no distractions with the air pods

I got goosebumps...this shit so good I wanna scream!!!
