Who tf was counting Ms. Hill out??? 🐐🐐🐐

She's damn near Nas in a woman's body...y'all must'a forgot *Roy Jones Jr. voice*

"I turned the other cheek I took blow after blow...there's so much crisis in the world cuz you reap what you sow...when you keep what you know is meant for someone else...the ditch you dig for them you just might end up in yourself"
😅😅that would be me. I definitely didn't expect her to rap, especially since I haven't heard a rap from her in over a decade let alone a dope song.
But she gets all the respect for that verse.
I remember when Pusha said he would have the album of the year but my rebuttal was not of Cole drops a album.

I have to say I like this more then Off Season.

Pusha has a tall order.
He gonna need it cause both albums are fire.

You could Richard Mille your left wrist
Keep in perspective, we on God’s time (The world is yours)
What happens when dealers reduce to addicts?
What happens when kings don’t see their potential status?
What’s your exit plan? Face to face with my omens, I never ran
Stood on stages most never can, pyrotechnics and leather pants
Shifting the culture
Mention me with Mick Jagger and Bono like you’re ‘posed to
I’m standing next to rookies, somehow they’re looking older
The altitude of matter so cold, it’ll make your nose run
How you expect to get love if you don’t show none?”

~Nas~

A couple insights:

  • Hitboy outdid himself on this jawn, haters gon' hate ... I would say the production on KD2 >>> KD1... but I still prefer the first one overall... it's more grandeur
  • Lauryn Hill easily contender for verse of the year... speak your truth ma ...
  • Deathrow East was vintage NaS with the street tales... street's disciple
  • Eminem's verse on EPMD wasn't wack to me ... didn't just fit the song and EPMD were ehhh (da hell happened to Sermon?)... the beat though... tough
  • Hit-boy sounding like Curren$y? ... had to do a double take on the tracklist
  • Brunch On Sundays was funny... I guess some feels were caught
  • I don't have a favourite track yet ... gotta digest it again
  • Life is like a Dice game: that track makes me reminisce me back to secondary school... early 90s ... African sun ... that was the sound on radio back then ... I actually thought that was a bonus on this new album... love it so
4/5 for me on first listen...

Bro…I swear I do a double take everytime that song comes on like “Did I miss a fuckin’ Curren$y feature?!?!”

I don’t know if Hit sound more like Curren$y or if Lil Baby soundin’ more like Future on this album lol

That EPMD2 song is truck stop urinal cake juice…it shouldn’t be on tha album or at least make it last so it can get skipped like it doesn’t exist lol…and not just cuz Em on it either…I mean that helps make it skippable but altogether that song just sounds outta place

Other than that this is a dope album from Nas…I’ve really liked these last 2 KD albums and I’m definitely happy for tha brotha
