Well said. You took film classes too nigga? I took a few semesters, they had us read Sidney Lumet's "making movies" and some other shit. Learned the technique you mentioned in there.
 
This show is low key fascinating how they tie in fiction and non fiction....we literally had to study the 1988 Mexican General Election....
 
Yea this show is highly slept on. Cuz most people binge it all in 1 or 2 days and when we do the Best Shows of the Year threads mfs be forgetting about this shit.


But yea, another great season. I'm guessing next season we'll start to see the rise of El Chapo.


I know the show is mainly based on history, but I am getting tired of the "americans are always a step ahead" "the americans always win" narrative. H

Loosely based on history id say.... they re arrange a lot of historical facts to fit the TV show narrative.... for example irl It was the Arellano Felix cartel who had that thing happen to Palma’s ppl not Felix and it was yr or 2 later ... but for the sake of the show they attributed to Felix

If there is a next season it prolly focus on the Tijuana vs Sinaloa war that was fought from 89-93 right after Felix got locked up...they prolly follow the story line til Chapo gets locked up in like 93-94

or I’m thinking since they introduced the west coast crack scene and like running concurring storylines next season might be about Freeway Rick and the LA crack scene that funded the Contras

Show ended in 1988 this season

Im guessing the rise of amado he was the most powerful dealer in the late 90s....all the cartels start beefing...los zetas is started n chapo rises
 
Also niggas ain’t just son Felix like that....HE was the one who broke up his Guadalajara Cartel and assigned territory to the others...crazier thing is this asshole only got like 37 yrs in prison
