MNF Week 17: Bills at Bengals (officially cancelled)

Monday night's postponed matchup between Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals won't be resumed this week, the NFL announced Tuesday.

The league said that it hasn't made a decision about potentially rescheduling the AFC matchup for a later date. Additionally, the league hasn't made any changes to the Week 18 schedule.

The prime-time game was called off after Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a tackle. Hamlin remains in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Has cancel culture started up yet against the NFL?

Nah. But having a player go into cardiac arrest during the biggest game of the year ain't a good look at all.

They'd be getting killed in the media right now if they actually restarted that game.

A doctor on sports radio this morning said we probably won't know anything until tomorrow or the day after because they keep the person cooled for like 36 hours after cardiac arrest.

Also said that after that the only worry is if he suffered any brain damage due to being without oxygen. Said you gotta resuscitate them within 5 minutes, but the reports are they resuscitated him in 9

Here’s a question: how possible is it that Hamlin has suffered possible brain damage for lack of oxygen before he needed to be resuscitated?

very possible

Think it's like 4 or 5min w/o oxygen to the brain causes irreparable damage

but I got faith
