He also talks about how laws that are intended to go after black people don't take as long to implement as laws that could target white people.
Which applies to this case since Maine has what's known as yellow flag laws that don't make it as easy to take guns away from people who might be mentally ill.

After watching the video, it's starting to make sense now.
Just a theory, but with all the information they knew about him, I'm thinking they didn't go out of their way to do anything about it because they thought he was more likely to go out and shoot black people..............not white people.
Never occurred to them that he would target his own kind.
Since there aren't that many black people in Maine, they probably thought he was gonna do something like the Buffalo shooter or Kyle Rittenhouse and go somewhere with a larger black population.
If so, this is another example of "chickens coming home to roost."

The video kind of touched on this too.
The media tries to make it seem like they don't want to explore too many details about the shooter because they don't want to give him any more attention than necessary or because they don't want to encourage any copycats.
However, the real reason they don't go into a real deep dive on the shooters is because.......if they do........they'll see that they all have something in common and people will start to connect the dots.
Meaning, they all frequent the same websites.............get their news from the same sources.........listen to the same people.........etc.
So, if a profile like that was ever established, the quote/unquote..........."powers-that-be"........... could no longer deny that there's a common indoctrination denominator with these mass shooters.

These types of stories are far too common with these mass shootings. There sometimes people around these nutjobs that do pick up the signs and try to warn people. And the fucked up part is for years the media was allowed to paint these narratives of these shooters being these people who are loners. That's why for years up til fairly recently people still believed the whole "Trenchcoat Mafia" lie the media created about the Columbine shooters.
