He meant by making it a theatre-only release. All previous Disney releases during the pandemic have been accessible in theatres and on Disney+.
I go in the afternoon so I'm not around much people anyways

I'm heartbroken I won't be able to see Candyman bruh. Companies gotta stop thinking about financial obligations and allow people to safely stream these things at home man. At least do it for one specific weekend. I don't understand why the one weekend and then back to theaters approach is not being considered.

You can see it safely in theatres, just wait until the opening week buzz dies down. Even before COVID, theatres thinned out a lot for these movies pretty quickly.
