Binged last night this may be my favorite of the Disney shows so far. Well done series, genuinely funny, great directing with the shots, and awesome characters. Diving into the Muslim traditions and the family dynamics were my favorite parts of this show. I loved all of their interactions and how they had her back when she wanted to tell them who she really was. They already knew and her Mom even hooked her up with the outfit. One of the best live action costumes I've ever seen. It's straight out the books.
I had a feeling about the band and when they showed the arm was blue I figured they have to be hinting at Quasar and the Kree empire. The other half of the band is with Capt Marvel which is why they ended up switching places so Kamala is on a Kree ship now. Does this mean the ten rings are Kree tech in the MCU and not creations of Fing Fang Fooms people then? Interesting and we got confirmation she's a mutant. The 2nd time we've heard the xmen animated theme in something now.

I didn't catch the ten rings sigel on the floor that's very interesting. We're going to need a Shang Chi sequel soon to explain that connection. Phase 4 is still all over the place though lol so far Loki's series hasn't really shown an effect as of yet.

Just finished it. Good series. I see some people are ranking it low. I think there's is some bias going on. The quality of this shit was definitely better than Falcon and Winter Soldier.
Also, Marvel is the GOAT at introducing diversity without making it corny.
On a side note, is it just me or does Marvel blackify all the music. Like I noticed it with Shang Chi and now with this. They basically take musical styles from other cultures and add a Hip-Hop or black flavor to it.

As it pertains to the music, they used actual Pakistani and Indian recording artists for much of the music. That's who's doing it, not Marvel, per se.
They were using genuine music
