It dont gotta be hate though.

I posted those Jay Z lyrics for a reason. In that song he was dropping all the good deeds he did to get people to like him. If you come through and give me a list of your good deeds and then say thats why youre better, im gonna look at you funny.

End of the day, people getting help is good. No one is debating that. But the way you chose to make it public can lead to negative reactions.

Using Jay is an interesting example though because it wasn't but just a few years ago when Harry Belafonte called him out for not being more public about what he does in terms of giving back and Jay said "I prefer to give in private and not make a big deal about it" and alot of people didn't get that.
