The only way gonna be changes is if NFL let multiple developers use the license and EA got competition. Now you have Madden, NFL 2k, NFL Streets, NFL Blitz etc

The exclusive license is only for simulation games.

Developers can make arcade versions like Blitz or Mobile versions but not simulation

Which is ironic af cause Madden hasn't been simulation for a long ass time and has leaned heavily into arcade style of play
