Like someone here stated... No One really cares


In this thread alone I've learnt:


- the girl who was in that infamous video with Kelly refused to testify against him.. I'm thinking probably her family members were bribed or were looking at jail time too. I didn't really follow his trial like that..

- Kelly's ex wife who has come out as a 'victim' of his is seen rocking to his music in a video she recorded.. Lol... Talk about separating the art from the person

- three teenage girls were seen front of a Kelly show... Excited and lackadaisical about his persona.. Behaving like adult women... Parenting again

- a whole lot of musicians and famous people who have worked with Kelly and praised his music in the past have all departed him and now shitting on him... Typical

- lastly, the videos just posted in the last few pages showing the man himself singing and celebrating whilst young Black women, yes, young black women! despite all the hoopla that's gone on in the last week serenading him with no care in the world...

Either way that made her 20-22 when she recorded the album. The only thing that makes sense is them lying about her age and she was younger than they say she was.

Because she has been arrested and spent time in prison, her age is a matter of public record. She was born in '74 which means she would have been 18 by '92 so according to her that picture would have been taken in 1991.

The problem with that?

In 1991 Biggie hadn't been signed yet. He didn't get the Unsigned Hype write-up until March of 1992. He got picked up by Puffy after that and was signed to Bad Boy that summer. On top of that he spent the bulk of '91 in jail so unless he was just taking pics of Lil Kim just for fun there's no way she would have been 17 when that pic was taken.

People grow though. What she chose to overlook 20 years ago shouldn't be held against her now. Plus it's not her responsibility to protect these girls. If the parents signing off what could she do?

She didn't overlook it, she willfully chose to do nothing AND later referenced the incident 6 years later. No outrage, no thinkpieces or editorial about him being a pedo for marrying an underage girl.

Nothing from dream hampton.

Now there's a doc about the shit and she feels compelled to speak on it, but where was that energy when she first heard about the shit?

The problem is that niggas knew about his ass for 25 years and did nothing. It's a problem because all these same people pointing the finger today had ample opportunity to deal with the nigga three presidents ago. It's a problem because you can't retcon real life, so if you knew and were in a position to do something about it you are just as culpable as the nigga R Kelly himself. All these celebs and journalists enabled R Kelly for two and a half decades. They knew full well he was a predator but sat by idle.

Fuck you wanna speak on it now for? You had plenty of time to be outraged and didn't do shit.
