How did Pat move the needle
How did Pat move the needle
So he moved it backwards
I didn't say he created I said he's the godfather of it.So because they've been around longer they're better or had a bigger impact?
Ice-T DID NOT create gangsta rap, he even admits that. Stop creating fake narratives.
I voted neither. I'd never heard of Project Pat until I saw his album in The Vault on the IC.
There's two factors that come into play; region and age. I'd bet that most Project Pat fans are younger and from The South, which isn't a diss but it is what it is.
Some rappers catch wreck nationwide and catch the attention of the older generation, like Kendrick, or Kanye, who to my knowledge, has been around as long as Project Pat (correct me if I'm wrong).
Truth be told, I never really fucked with 36 until I had a video show on the community access station and 36's record label sent me some T-Shirts along with the Ridin Spinners video that they wanted me to play.
I didn't say he created I said he's the godfather of it.
Yes because they've been it in longer stamped their name in history and are still relevant. They're a bigger impact without question.
Niggas in here thinking legend means just music. Ice T and Short are household names. Pat regional at best
Short still living Biggie a legend off of death.who's a bigger legend, too short or biggie?
Nobody outside of Memphis at leastAin't nobody has ever asked when that new Project Pat dropping?
Short still living Biggie a legend off of death.
Impact wise Biggie made a bigger impact off of dying and they're still making his legend bigger. BUT take away the death then it's Short easily. Big died at 24 Short in his 50's
Colors by Ice T is literally the first rap song about gangs.
I don't see how anybody could say he didn't start gangsta rap.
Do your homework and step your hiphop IQ fam. I expect better from you, you're 58 yrs old.
Jay and Nas are relevant so yeah they're legend is still going. I already explained DMX no way in niggadom is Pat on their level. That was a lot of typing fam lol Biggie is a bigger legend with less time. DMX is a bigger legend. Jay-z, Nas, etc. Bigger legends less time.
I rest my case.
Ok, simple question; can you name a song entirely about gangs that came out before Colors?
Jay and Nas are relevant so yeah they're legend is still going. I already explained DMX no way in niggadom is Pat on their level.
Biggie maybe would've been a legend if he lived but his death made him a legend to think otherwise is retarded. Big my favorite emcee also
