Sidenote I had to go to a chinese restaurant where a gay club is next door and mad flamboyant gay dudes be outside

Not really religious, but my dumb ass pulled up playing Jesus Lord

Blasting "Tell me if you know someone who neeeeeds Jeeeesus....... Lord"

I feel you man but if he wanted any of those things you wanted then he woulda did it.

I gotta look at what he did and what he didn’t choose to do

there’s no Kanye song where you won’t know what project it’s from

it’s constant reinvention

these Same complaints were in 2008 and 2013
I hated 808's,but loved MDTF.

I respect his want to be creative, but different doesn't mean good.

This nigga basically doing like on Showtime At The Apolla.

You not booing the dude singing "Sometimes I feel like a motherless child"

But I mean like I said,I don't think this is trash, just still feels thrown together.

And if Universal really dropped this w/out Ye's word, then I can't blame him for it sounding kinda rushed even with all the prep.

Praise God cool af. Production subdued but it works with this feature.

Again, these guest are snapping. Gives me MBDTF vibes as far as guest fighting for verse of the album

I do like Fivio on that song

Probably his best verse I ever heard rapping wise.

"Gotta a couple old friends that I'm not really clickin I know they pray that we settle our differences "

I just started dabbling in gematria

🤦‍♂️ SMH, you're just NOW starting to learn about this ? Wait until this shit goes mainstream and people see that "conspiracy theorist " were right about alot of things. Do you want to know where to go to learn more ?
[/QUOTE]
Funny you say that I started looking this up after a convo with a conspiracy theorists. But sure whatcha got, I was looking at some old Jewish guy break it down

His vision is blurred.

His albums used to be organized like a essay

Subject,body,conclusion

It lacks that introspection and retrospection he used to have IMO.

Ye career is like the tale of two halves. Everything pre MBDTF is super concise, attention to detail. His perfectionist days.

Everything post MBDTF is scatterbrained and off kilter. A couple times an album you get concise songs. On tlop Real Friends, No More Parties etc.

MBDTF is the perfect blend of the two Ye’s. The exact perfect mix.

I can see why some people still like the newer stuff. The off kilter stuff works sometimes for me but not always.

Sometimes the base of the song will be it but the rest of the beat will be uninspired (the choir & organs on 24 is dope but the rest of the song missing that Ye magic ).

Sometimes the whole beat is it then he’s saying anything that comes to his head (Father stretch my hands)

Remote Control his melody and cadence dope, shit ain’t about shit though.

I can see how some people like it. To me it’s not bad music just always bare bones, unfinished or he’s just saying whatever. So I end up with a few records I keep and discard the rest.

Couldn't agree more.

I'm not against off center music at all.

MDTF was a perfect blend of the weird and melodic with hardcore hip hop.

I know Ye has always had help writing, but he used to rap rap.

And why all these niggas on here and no Pusha T?

Damn Kanye gonna do more than 400k. He is making history on Spotify, second most streamed album in first day.

Well well he doing numbers, what jay z said? women lie men lie numbers dont? I guess Jay z is right. This is a classic LOL

I listened to album and I’m not sure about it so I’m giving it another listen. I have a feeling that’s what everybody else is doing and the streams are high

When I hear Liberian Girl I don't think about Michael singing to kids. I think about the song from my point of view musically about it being about a grown mature woman from Liberia. When I hear Happy Pe

I think this was supposed to be homage to Chicago and his mother. Hence drill being the theme and Chicago drill artists being featured.
He only had Durk on there as far as I recall.

He used ,more of the lit/trap sound and East Coast /UK drill than Chi Drill, which doesn't really have a particular prod style.

I didn't get a feel for the Chi from this.

Man Ye's team made him great, and those day 1 guys mostly ain't around .

I dont know if I'd say that. This might be projection and nostalgia.

I do agree with the lack of introspection. Kanye is in a different space mentally and financially now tho. I'm not sure if I even want introspection from a guy who wears a MAGA hat and says a lot of coon shit for white people's approval. You know what I mean ?

Just give me good beats and music. You dropped your classics, you made a billion dollars and jumped over the jumpman, I don't care what happened with Kim K gossip either. You got nothing else to prove Ye. Just put out quality music.

He still a coon when I see him but I can separate the man from the music.
Nah it's not nostalgia.

Kanye was like a backpacker with mainstream rapper sensibilities

He used to have these deep relatable commentaries like Falls Down, Bitter sweet ,or The Blame game.
