So far this is a very strong effort and return to form.

I knew when that nigga left Kim his shit would get way better again. Felt like on previous albums he was asking for her musical input smh.

The production is incredible and I gotta respect how Ye always goes outside the box with his music, in getting Shenseea on and a few others MOST artists wouldn't have attempted.

Man what are you talking about? These are mostly known artists who have been featured on multiple songs

…if what R Kelly did to young black women & what Kanye has done not comparable as crimes against the race in general… then what are we doing here?

They're not comparable. One person physically harmed people and left life lasting scars. Kanye coonin just affects him. Both dumbasses but one is a literal criminal offense and the other is just a nigga with dwindling musical ability doing anything for attention

I was on this niggas ass since yeezus about ,Yall how I feel about this bumass new Kanye tired of niggas calling him a musical genius these days shit is over

I know you're not to try and say that the whole "make America great again" white nationalist shit was a plus for Black folks? Man openly had white nationalist and racists propping him up for being a "free thinker" and he ate that attention up

no what im saying is you voted for people that have a history of harming Black people more extensive than trump. do you have the same critiques for jayz and beyonce? or for the many artist both past and present that backed politicians who worked overtime in keeping us in a perpetual state of disenfranchisement ?

:foh3:

niggas cant be mad at kanye and not hold a mirror to their own terrible political ideas.

im not a fan of kanye whatsoever but i wouldnt even entertain the thought of comparing kanye to kelly.

not worth the trouble

Good music or not tho, I still consider Kanye West a coon and one of the biggest coons of all time in Hip-Hop if not the biggest.

But I can separate the man from the artist like I can for Michael Jackson, R. Kelly and others and solely take in their music.

Not possible in this case idk how some yall do it, man's a rapist singing songs about fucking kid's he's not singing about grown women

Yeah I'm pretty consistent in my disdain for people who have shitty politics or stances on certain social issues. So no I'm not one of these people who hold Jay Z and Beyonce in some high regard. The nigga can rap, she can sing and that's really about it. But as far as their whole "we're gonna Black capitalism our way out of poverty" I've said before that is a failed mission. It's also easy to look up Trump and his family history and see that their harming of Black folks goes back way before 2016 so it's been fuck him since before he set his foot in politics.

Kanye is slightly different in that he not only openly aligned himself with white nationalist and other racist but also is trying to use his music, specifically the aesthetic of gospel music, to draw people into his bullshit. Given how Black folks have used religion culturally worldwide that shit sticks out as extra disrespectful when you're using people's very belief system and where many draw their idea of morality from to promote the stupid shit he's been on the past 5-6 years. He's not doing that shit on accident or stumbling into it.. Everything he's done since he first arrived in 2003 has been extremely intentional and for that it's hard to view his music and what he says outside the lens of someone who voluntarily became the very thing he once openly disdained. Which is a nigga with a God complex who believes he can do or say no wrong.

kanye, like most Black celebs, be saying some dumbass shit. has he caused any real harm to Black ppl outside of his incoherent coon babble? NO. tbh, i personally cancelled him years ago off of my own personal reasons and the sheer fact i hate ignorant mfers but a few of my friends (die hard kanye fans) wanted my take on the album.

so i listened and gave my critique.

does that mean imma be standing in line to buy his shoes? fuck no. am i going to be exposing myself to covid in attendance at whatever concert may come about? HELL FUCK NO. will i be rolling my eyes at some corny shit he says in a few weeks from now and creating a thread entitled “i hate kanye” on abw???? probably so…

lets be clear, kanye lost me as a fan forever but i dont have to be a fan to listen to an highly anticipated album and give my take on it.

and me listening to an album doesnt excuse his moronic ideas and decisions from the past either.

unlike @grYmes stupid ass comparison of kanye to kelly. kanye can still grow an unlearn that slavery is indeed not a choice. whereas kelly cant undo abusing, molesting, and harming innumerable amount of girls/women with impunity for decades

niggas dont go to jail for their terrible ass opinons, if that was the case many of you would be doing 25 to life, you do however find yourself watching espn on a fatback 15 inch tv with a foil antenna held by two spoons for sexual abuse.

the comparison is wild and dangerous.

…so we can grow out of being a coon now? Ok. All I know is I don’t support the nigga because of his actions. While you can say Kanye doing what he did doesn’t make a significant impact, it does make racists feel validated. It’s just another cut to add to the thousands we’ve gotten. Im not going out of my way to listen to this dudes music I don’t care who in my life likes it.

As far as the R Kelly comparison I don’t see how wild and dangerous it is. Yes what R Kelly did is a crime & in a physical & mental sense is more dangerous to the women he hurt than anything Kanye has done. They are still crimes against the race to me. They both used their status to fool people of their own skin color for their own agendas. I don’t know where you got the idea that I thought what they did carried the same weight as far as actual crimes in a court of law… they don’t. Regardless what they both did do represent some deep foundational problems within us as a whole. Cuz niggas been making excuses for R Kelly for decades just like they been doing for Kanye now.
