So I finally listened to Donda in full and I give it a 7/10. The production was flawless, sonically Kanye hits the mark. The features did an outstanding job! let me find out it takes a kanye album to bring the best out of people. :tuh: Fivio did his big one ☝🏾 and roddy ricch spazzed.

as for its failures? afterwhile donda becomes one run on sentence, a 4 page essay with no punctuation especially after track 21. the songs from 21 to 26 just becomes elevator music. the plot gets lost in translation and swallowed up by chants of jesus

the last 5 songs are a clear indication that this album didnt need 26 songs, a HUGE editing flop.

all in all, i actually liked it more than i thought i would. it wasnt a terrible listen and i didnt have to skip any tracks or go hunt kanye west down and demand an explanation for this project.

im sure ill play it in the car a time or two or play it in the background while cleaning up or having friends over. other than that? im closing donda and putting it back on the shelf and hoping this album reflects a man willing to grow and change for the better.

No Child Left Behind music composition is amazing. The retro synths towards the end and the pads blended with the 808s was simple yet majestic af.

Such a well written overview! I love hearing others opinions on how they took in the music. But I usually wait to listen to new music even from artist I enjoy until the hype dies down. You should write blogs or something 🤔.

They know who they are. I ain’t in the business of calling out names. Regardless of that I don’t support this nigga, not any more. Evangelical whites with confederate flag stickers on their trucks got more credibility than him. The shits beyond music and sadly the way society is built he’s gonna keep on keepin on like his actions hold no weight. Self hate under the disguise of black Christianity is fuckin disgusting.
