FEATURED "Kanye Made A Larger Impact Than 2pac"

test
Kanye's career had Michael Jackson trajectory but hey even Michael Jackson's career/life got derailed. He would have been more impactful and influential than Pac, MJ, anybody had he not committed suicide

2pac/Death Row along with Biggie/ Bad Boy put hip hop on a universal/global commercial level that hip hop hadn’t seen before.
Kanye has completely changed the sound of hip hop at least twice. Chipmunk Soul sample heavy beats eta and then what happened after he dropped 808’s and Heartbreak.
You can argue Kanye…future IMO, not so much.
To be influential to the level that pac was, a very casual or fan outside of the genre would have to be somewhat familiar with you. IDK if future checks that box

Everybody that was heavily influenced by kanye sucks imo (travis scott, uzi vert, etc) so that influence talking point never meant anything to me.
sure if you're talking about those certain artists you mentioned but kanye also changed the music landscape on more than 1 occasion
Shit Kanye played a part in shaping 2 of the faces of the current hiphop landscape (Cole & Drake)
You can argue we've been sonically living in the Kanye Era since 2001 and it only ended fairly recently
and even then with some of the folks you mentioned it still exists

Edit: oh you had Cole and Drake already lol

2Pac rose to his peak and died at his peak

Kanye rose to his peak and kept going and fell off.

If Kanye died after MBDTF he would be 2Pac status, but the fact that he kept going past his peak is why he's not looked at like 2Pac.

That Makavelli album came out after Pac died and is arguably his best album.
