It's funny how these dudes say stuff like this as if it's a negative. Yeah, change Columbus Day or Thanksgiving to Indigenous People's Day. Most of the people opposing you would be perfectly fine with that.

The weird thing about this is that it's actually reasonable to have a Soul Food menu in commemoration of Juneteenth given that Soul Food is inherently African American in origin. lol They've used food stereotypes to mock us for so long that its literally impossible to celebrate black contribution to American food culture without it looking racist.

NBC affiliate KXAS reported that the 2 1/2 miles represented the number of years that it took for slaves in Texas to learn of their freedom.
