Welcome To aBlackWeb

Have you seen the J Edgar Hoover biopic starring Leonardo D. Caprio?

They evoked that Hoover's pathological loathing against black nationalism and the Civil Right movement stemmed from his own self-loathing about rumours of him and his paternal lineage being of biracial ancestry, fueled up by the frustration of his own closeted homosexuality and need to overcompensate against a life of burraucratic duty through the medium of a personality cult and toxic hypermasculine actions.

The fact that he was basically some sociopathic, borderline self-bigotic narcissist ahead of a bureau full of bullies and bloodthirsty psychopaths aligned with white suprematism didn't help.

I’m aware of most of that but no i haven’t watched the movie about him, I don’t know if I could stomach it even though I fw DiCaprio

They basically sugarcoated about his life.

Nothing about the unhinged raids over smugglers and gangsters in the 1940s, the whole COUNTELPRO episode beibg airbrushed into twenty minutes of buraucratic white ho yay hammering and psychotic yellings against the mere existence of straight, serial-womanizing black preacher M.L.K. and all. The evolation about his African American ancestry is subtle.

Not the best biopic I have ever seen, though. But it was damn hilarious to watch Hoover (Di Caprio) losing his shit like some crybaby after he found out that M.L.K. haven't ceded to the threats of mediatic exposure about his extramarital affairs.

What really pissed me off was the end where O'Neal said he would tell his kids how he was part of the struggle, no the hell you wasn't.

And that's EXACTLY why they out that part in the movie. They let that nigga dig his own grave. Because he was sitting there walking that nonsense, talking about letting history judge him, we all at home watching like 'Nigga, get real!'.

Shit was super effective. There ain't really nothing they could have added to the end of the movie to indict that bitch ass nigga as much as his own words did.

Real good movie i thought...

I enjoyed it even tho i didnt learn anything really that new...the murder of fred hampton doc is better as far as breaking down everything.

But this kept things movin pretty well. I aint an expert on costumes or anything but all that looked fine to me.

Kaluya was good. Stanfield was fine but they coulda found somebody better.

Besides, we have to thank Lakeith Stanfield for his amazing performance as the CI Bill O'Neil, because any viewer had a frame of reference to tell this Judas was lying at himself. I was both flustered and shaken with hilarity at once, while watching that sequence scene.

I would just like to say fuck you Bill O'Neal your bitch ass birthed the Candace Owens and Brandon Tatum's of the world. Oh and J. Edgar Hoover should be burning in hell

At least, Candace Owens and Brandon Tatum feigns to embrace a cause, whatever how politically prostituous and volatile are they.

O'Neil seemed to me like a man without any cause or raison d'être. A representative of the "fuck it nigga" type character, an egoistical poor soul who don't really give a dime about social betterment but despairly crave to follow a lead, even if that means battling for opposite camps and jeopardizing many lives in harm's way. Exactly like Judas in the Gospels.

Never forget J. Edgar Hoover was LGBT.

White queers are pathologically hostile against black people.

Have you ever seen them standing for the black queers harrassed or killed by the police? Yet, as soon as people stood for Floyd and the others, they tried to made of BLM a BTLM... biatch, please. These crackers don't care about the fact they're trannies: they're black.

LaKeith played a slimeball very well. I know people were worried that they wouldn't bring up the socialism angle but they did. They were also worried they would show his death as a shootout instead of being shot in his sleep but they were also accurate in that regard
