Fucked up part is they convenient as hell but billion dollar companies ain’t morally obligated and @shutupGabi is right

They aren't. That's why the government needs to regulate them, but the country keeps putting shitty Republicans in office that do nothing but serve the super rich.

And there absolutely is a problem with him having a trillion dollars. That's too much money to spend or circulate even if he was reckless with it. In other words, that's a ton of money that is just sitting there doing nothing while other people are starving. It's not a matter of being against Besos. It just the fact that hoarding so much wealth to serve so few is bad for everyone.

Exactly but America ain’t trying to change it at least not really

95% of the Forbes list don't physically have the money in cash, their net worth is based on the value of their interest in their company. The more Amazon stock increases the more his wealth does as well. The more people use Amazon and make it an essential service the more money they're going to make. You can buy shares in them too and get a piece of the pie too.

Also Amazon does pay taxes (irrelevant but just wanted to point that out and yes I have receipts).

These types of attitudes make me nervous going forward because it seems we're more spiteful about people making a lot of money. I work in the investment/wealth industry and at some point I will have made over a billion dollars and will be managing that type of money and more. I came from the bottom, will people be mad at me and demand I give them all of my fortune because I simply have too much money while disregarding what I had to do to get to where I am ? Way I see it Bezos enjoys the rewards of his hustle now if his wealth was passed down that's a different topic. There will be others who will come along too, who will look like you and I.

I dont think government should regulate someone's wealth that's way too extreme. I do think that capitalism isn't perfect and governments should step in when markets falter or are in danger tho.

Bruh, I'm not spiteful about people making a lot of money. If you have a good idea and put in a lot of work, you should reap the benefits. There is no problem there. Bezos should be allowed to enjoy the rewards of his hustle, but what's the functional difference between how he will enjoy it if he has 250 mil vs 1 tril? There isn't one.

And I know you like the investment shit and I respect your knowledge on it, but you have to look at it from the other side. These people aren't making all this money because they are that good. They are making all this money because once you get to a certain level, you can then use your wealth to unfairly rig the system so that you keep making money. That's how big banks can escape consequences and even get bailed out after causing a recession. That's why our government passed tax cuts that largely went to rich people. That's how we wind up with a COVID Stimulus Bill that primarily went to big corporations.

People should be allowed to make a lot of money from there success. They just shouldn't be allowed to use that money to rig the system so that their success continues at the expense of everyone else.

i plan on getting cloe to a bill.

might not happen.....but why work hard if you cant do what the fuck ever you want when you want.

i only have a problem when people cheat to get there or their privilege helped them....anything outside of hardwork,.......imma talk shit about.
that goes for bezos or the dude up the block who parent died and now hes rich and acts like hes smart with money.

I don’t think being a billionaire is bad everybody wants to be rich and wealthy. The issue with below is he rich forever and treats workers like trash. I mean we not going to have a socialist revolution but why only care about bottom line and not people

While bezos and Amazon do pay tax they don't pay enough tax to the proportion of their earnings and while it's all good that these people will give it to charity when they die. It's Robbing us of public services right now.

Lol after Covid the billionaires won't be asked to pay the correct proportion of tax to help bailout people it will fall directly on us with low wages and public sectors getting cut while the cost of living will continue to rise.
