Israel Prime Minister Says Country Is "At War"

@AZTG like bruh they said they were against Biden and Harris handling of Gaza but what made them think Trump would be better. I just feel like they played themselves

They did, but I kinda understand. Biden is in office and has all the power necessary to act but refuses to do so. Kamala never gave even a hint that she would do anything different. They really had no reason to trust either of them. It's not really that crazy for them to have taken a chance on Trump is basically a wild card. The problem is that every comment he's made suggests that he's even more pro-genocide.

At the end of the day, it seems like the options for the Arab Americans was either choose Kamala who would let the Israelis destroy the Palestinians slowly (relatively) or Trump who will let the Palestinians be destroyed quickly. Neither seems particularly appealing. At the end of the day, they should have just sat the election out. It makes sense for them to have not wanted to vote for Kamala, but voting for Trump wasn't very smart.

In a way, I can't blame them. Cause emotions run when you see your people going through what they seeing their people going through.

I can imagine a person being like man idgaf if Trump is worse, I'm gonna send the Democrats a message and let them know this isn't ok.

The above I wouldn't be too mad at.

But anyone voting for Trump thinking he would be better is someone whose intelligence I have to question. Trump ain't hide for a second what he was gonna do. So they have no excuses.

Also with Trump, even if he's worse, at least mfers know his worse.

All Biden and Kamala did was "we will give Israel the weapons to destroy Gaza, but we are against Israel destroying Gaza"

I hate nothing more than a mfer who can't pick a side and speaks from both sides of their mouth.

I rather know where I stand with you, even if we in bad standing.

What sucks of course is here we are playing political games and over there it's real life human suffering.

Makes me hate this world.

There is this weird phenomenon with Trump. He basically lies and flip flops so much that people can never really pin down where he stands. The logical thing would be to just dismiss him altogether as an unreliable person. That's not what happens though. It seems like a lot of people will just ignore everything he says that goes against their world view as long as he say something that is in line with their world view. It's crazy.

What did they expect

You can give her Michigan and Trump still won 6 other swing states. He put up lebron numbers on Harris so whats the point of the article?

Midterms in 2 years, when all the groups people are yelling at dont come out and help you win it will be 100% deserved.

Bruh relax ijs these folks openly voted against their cause and if anything should’ve vote couch. Us who voted can make memes and jokes about the other groups for right now.

Gee, what is this "couch" thing you speak of? You mean to tell me as an American citizen I have the right and privilege to stay at home and... not vote?

Don't agree with any of this. I'll just talk about the bolded though.

The bolded is flat out wrong. She gave plenty of hints that she would do things differently. People wanted to hear the worse (ignoring nuances in what she actually said), or just wanted her to come out and say clearly what she hinted at, which would have been risky given how much power the Israeli lobby has.

I'm just going to cite one thing. In this Washington Post piece, Harris' people said explicitly that a Harris administration would be willing to consider conditioning aid to Israel.

You're wrong. Arab Americans aren't the only ones who let Gaza affect their vote (including deciding not to vote).

And he didn't "put up Lebron numbers."

The fact that Biden isn't doing anything to put an end to this now shows he's just as evil as the Israelis. He's got no reason not to play hard ball.

He really believes in standing by Jews, who he thinks of as an oppressed or vulnerable minority.

So in his mind he probably thinks, "Well, at least I stood by the Jews when there was plenty of reason to abandon them."

lol How is that any different than Biden? He said the same thing and then didn't do it. Biden drew like three red lines, and said that there would be consequences if Israel crossed those lines. Israel crossed those lines, and Biden did nothing. So why would we believe Kamala making the same promises when from what we saw she never put any pressure on Biden to change. She just towed the line. She never came out and said she would demand a ceasefire, cease aid, or support the UN resolutions if she was elected. That's what people wanted to hear. The time for mealy mouthed bullshit is over. Israel has already gone too far with its actions.

Kamala was asked multiple times what she would have done or do differently than Biden and she couldn't give an answer. When she was on the view she flat out said "Not much." So why should we have believed she would have represented a radical shift in policy towards the genocide when she wouldn't say that?

It's psychotic to see babies being bombed and think that the people doing the bombing are the ones being oppressed.

This is just all wrong. All of your points.

A couple things.

Who said that she didn't put pressure on Biden to change? And just because Biden hasn't stuck to his red lines doesn't mean that she would have done the same thing.

Biden has resisted conditioning aid. The Washington Post article I posted explicitly says that Harris would have considered it. So that is itself reason to think that she would have conditioned aid.

The fact that she didn't publicly break with Biden on anything supports my view. It means that her silence wasn't necessarily out of any firm commitment to doing things exactly the way that he did them.

lol You keep saying I'm wrong, but you have yet to point out something I'm actually wrong about. You're saying Kamala said she would consider conditioning aid. Biden did the same thing on multiple occasions. Here's one example:

He didn't do it. What did Kamala do or say that would give anyone confidence that she's handle things any different? Nothing. Again, when asked how she would handle her presidency differently than Biden, she rarely every gave a definitive answer and the strongest answer she did give was her saying that she wouldn't do things much differently.

So where am I wrong? You want people to take her noncommittal bullshit as proof she was going to do the right thing. Why would anyone with any sense believe that when she's sat to the side and watched tens of thousands of people die without doing anything.

You can't be serious b. Biden has had over a year to condition aid. People pushed and pushed over many months and then last spring, at long last, it was leaked that he might condition aid.

And you're saying that Kamala is in the same position -- deserving of the same skepticism -- as Biden even though she has not had even one day as president?

OK.
