The problem is that when Tariq goes at these people, he doesn't really have anymore credibility with his answers than they have with theirs. He's just in control of the show, so he can shut the mic of when he doesn't like what's being said. The call with the Italian guy is a good example. Tariq's points from what I heard were no more correct than the Italian guy's. Tariq was just able to mute the other dude when he wanted to get his point across. To be clear, the claim that Italians opened doors for black people is ridiculous. If anything, Italians and Irish did their best to shut down the progress of black people in the North. But Tariq was acting like black people accomplished everything 100% on our own, and that's just a factual absurdity.
