Is Sex Work, Work?

Any act that can generate income can be described as work.

That doesn't mean that all work is equally respectable, valuable, or sustainable.

Work that exploits people financially, physically, and emotionally to the point of incarcerations death should not be celebrated. Those that celebrate that type of work are ignorant or unaffected by the consequences.

Sex work should be decriminalized because too many people are forced and coerced into it unwillingly for it to simply be categorized as a "employment at will" industry.

They get targeted by everyone

Johns who want to rob, rape, and or kill them

Cops who want to rape them then arrest them

Pimps who want to kidnap them

Best case scenario, you don't get pregnant or a disease you can't get rid of or murdered.

It's one of the most depressing lifestyles on Earth. Why anyone feels the need to lock them in jail is beyond me. They are victims, even the ones who claim they aren't.

I remember during the last recession there were news reports of a spike in Craigslist escort/prostitution ads and a lot of regular ass housewives and single mothers were getting caught up in sting operations 'cause the household was hit hard.

If a chick wanna sell ass to make ends meet, that's really her business. Tax it and make it legal and letave her and the dude willing to pay for it alone.
