I was in a sporting goods store looking at scopes and I overheard a lady talking to the sales person while filling out her forms about this being he 1st firearm and never even dealing with one in the past. It was hard to find ammo for any higher caliber weapon but it's getting better now.

Get better access to healthcare first. Besides ideological reasons, there are far too many guns both legal and illegal in circulation rn to make any kind gun control effective in the US.
 
I’m not saying they should ban all guns.

I do think there should be better gun laws.

Guns can be useful in certain cases.

Like I stated in another thread, if there are no guns, how do you or your loved ones protect yourself from a person who can kill you with their bare hands?

A young, angry hardened criminal doesn’t need a gun to kill your grandmother...

Your grandmother is the one who’s gonna need a gun in THAT case.

We need to make it harder for guns to get into the hands of criminals.

Maybe we aren't on the same page. You said that the country of Australia didn't have mass shootings. That's a pretty definitive statement. There isn't really room for interpretation there.

I don’t want it to be harder for black people to protect ourselves. But also we not the ones shooting 50 people at once and we get restrict one group even though we know it’s crazy white people who want to be able to buy all the weapons and then the white folks who would enforce gun control focusing mostly on minorities. But like every recent mass shooting it seems like these folks have some call of duty level weapons and would not be able to kill as many people at once so quickly
