I think I read the lady is a home health aide and the old lady has dementia. Makes sense. I worked at a HDC for 8 years, it taught me so much patience man. May last two exes called me emotionless cause it seemed not much affected me. I literally seen it all in that place.

Yeah i've had family members that suffered from it and it took alot out of my family members that had to assist and cope with those swings in temperament.

There are good days and bad days. On some bad days they may act like a COMPLETELY different person... someone damn near unrecognizable.. so patience and empathy when dealing with that is key for sure.

Ok.. just wanted to be clear. Outside of being white and spitting on the sista... what leads you to believe this old lady is a racist? How did you make that jump?

She aint call her a nigger or any slur far as I can tell. Just based off what I saw I'm not gonna make the leap and call her a racist... especially being familiar with how dementia affects older people... which is why I aint say shit until the second video was posted and them two were dancing together.... leading me to believe old lady was just having an bad fuckin day.

If she called her a nigger while trying to spit on the sista... that'd be a completely different conversation

That mentality is why niggas are so loyal to democrats. Some of yall only recognize blatant racism from Republicans, thus you give passes to its lesser forms. Not me.

She doesn't have to be wearing a klan robe to be racist. Dementia or not, she never lost her anti black muscle memory. She remembers how to antagonize dark skin like she did 60 years ago

Why does this old white bitch even get the benefit of the doubt from you? It takes entirely too much energy to constantly play dumb and make excuses for the enemy. She intentionally weaponized her spit and breath as if to infect the black woman with covid. She knew exactly what she was doing, no excuses.

I try to take in the information as I see it and judge from there. Her being white and spitting on the sista doesnt automatically make her a racist. Maybe shes just a fuckin asshole.

Or maybe... seeing as shes up in age and requires a caregiver... she has dementia.

I find it hard to believe the sista would be dancing with the old lady after the fact if she was a hardcore racist bigot... which is why dementia seems logical.

We're both making assumptions here... I just think the leaps ur making are alot larger than the ones I am given the info we're working wit here

I agree with everything you said but we dont know this lady from a can of paint. she could have spent her entire life up into this point saying nigger to every Black person walking by LMAO

Agreed. Being outwardly and overtly racist isnt the only way to be a racist. We agree on that.

I'm just saying I didnt see enough to just outright label her a racist when dementia seems more plausible IMO. Both can be possible tho for sure. Guess we may never know.

Either way.. back to the question of the thread. Nah I wouldnt take that type of behavior... but thats why i'm not caregiver/nurse etc. At the same time I wouldnt assault an old lady either.
