The origin drama will conclude in 2019.

Fox announced today that Batman prequel Gotham has been renewed for a fifth and final season. The DC Comics-based drama, which follows the beginnings of the infamous city and all of its villains, has been a solid performer for the network over the course of its run.

In Season 4, viewers started seeing a young Bruce Wayne masquerading as a masked vigilante to fight crime in the city. The final season of the origin story will further follow his transformation into the caped crusader.

While each of the show's previous seasons has been 22 episodes in length, it is being reported that a shorter 13-episode run is being considered to conclude the series. Look for the final chapter of Gotham to premiere during the 2018-2019 season, likely as a mid-season entry.

The buddy cop drama will return in 2018-2019.

Fox announced today that Lethal Weapon will be coming back for a third season. While the action drama remains a solid ratings draw, its future had been in doubt in recent weeks after star Clayne Crawford was fired over multiple alleged on-set incidents.

Today's renewal comes along with the announcement of Crawford's replacement, as Seann William Scott will be stepping in to play the part of a new character to partner with Damon Wayans' Roger Murtaugh. The role will be Scott's first as a regular in a television series. The actor is perhaps best-known for his roles as Stifler in the American Pie movies and Chester in Dude, Where's My Car?

Based on the movie franchise of the same name, Lethal Weapon follows two Los Angeles cops as they team up to fight crime in the city of angels. Look for the show to return this fall as part of Fox's 2018-2019 lineup.

Smfh I'm done with that show.

man gotham gonna end on a bang....

niggaz shot selina right when her and bruce were starting to explore themselves...

shit felt like a legit teenage love.....

flash coming back strong....
arrow might do a final season too

legends bout to pick up....
supergirl might be leading the way this year....strong strong season....

that beebo finale either made you love it or hate it...

their online following loved it....

Still need to watch the new season. I almost stopped watching it after it seem like every episode was about Alex and her love life and Kara and Mon'El (who is by far the most useless character on the show).

I would want the CW to pick it up after next season but then again they dropping the ball on Arrow and Flash at the moment

I would like to see Netflix pick up Gotham but isn't DC supposed to start their own on demand service w/a live action Teen Titans show?

Anyways, I figured Gotham would only last another 1-2 season before FOX gave it the boot. Tbh, they could have started off Bruce & Selina a little older in the series. Also, they need to pick up the pace in the stories themselves but they kinda did that in a way this season.

Supergirl got the best season. I never got into Legends, that show just to far out there with the corny stuff

Legends really didn't do much for me this season and was the worst of the shows this season for me. Supergirl was good. Arrow as been strong the last 2 seasons but it's about time to wrap that show up it's been on the air since 2012. This season of Flash was better than last season. They dragged out the Savitar arc too long in season 3.

it was only so far they could go with the origin story before the actor(s) got too old before they needed a time skip anyway

Well I was reading that next season is supposed to be a like a "reboot" of Gotham (whatever that means). But I mean actors are teens themselves so it wouldn't have hurt to "age" them maybe an extra 2-3 yrs and by series end Bruce/Selina starts as Batman/Catwoman in their 20's.

Word cuz im not buying some 13-15 year old beating up like 6 grown ass henchman at once... I know this show is spos to be a bit ridiculous but come on now.. lol

Yeah and that's what I find unbelievable. At least w/Bruce I do because he's still a kid and hasn't been trained in martial arts yet. Selina I could believe more because she's lived in the streets.

Also, "Jerome" or Joker shouldn't have came into the series until the final season.
