2 of the 5 seasons of the wire are straight ass, y'all talk about how bad the ending of The Sopranos was but The Wire was worse

I’d say 1/2 of season 5. Season 2 is great despite the bandwagon wave of shitting on it.

Season 5 was a bit difficult to care about the newspaper but they succeeded for me. Omar vs Marlo was nice.

I tried The Wire too late, it felt mad outdated (the tech etc) so I gave up... Whereas The Sopranos I was watching pretty much at (or just after its peak) and was GOAT series for me...

Bunk, Marlo, Lester Freamon, Avon, Omar, String were all main characters

I don't think there was 1 main character. The book was point of views from multiple characters and the show did a great job of displaying multiple viewpoints

The whole show was basically McNulty scheming to get his way to bring down these drug dealers and murderers, everyone else was a pawn for him to use. McNulty was the central character, nothing pops off without him
