It's the truth. Having rewatched the Sopranos, it doesn't have the depth to be compared to the Wire. It's a show about an egomaniac with mommy issues...who just happens to be in the mob.

Cause best I can tell it was the first show to focus on a villain as the protagonist and thus received critical acclaim for its subversion. But its been surpassed multiple times. And to compare it to the Wire??! Cmon bruh.
You can watch the Wire and focus on just about any character and witness complete character arcs with growth and/or decay. The Sopranos is filled with 2 bit caricatures written by someone who loathes his own audience.
