I liked Batman v Superman for the most part. Suicide Squad I didn't mind. It was dragged so badly when I eventually saw it it was nowhere near as bad as I expected it. The editing was atrocious but I really expected much much worse. Haven't watched it since the cinema though.
It was the opposite of The Avengers where I expected much much better and walked out so pissed that outside of Spider-Man and Iron Man 3 (on FX!) I haven't watched an MCU movie since.
Justice League was the real heartbreaker. It was ok at best. It should've been great or at least epic. Stings more especially with the recent revelation that Steppenwolf was originally the Suicide Squad villain and JL was a Darkseid focused 2 parter.
I loathed Man of Steel when it came out. Enjoy it a bit more now but still find it too drab and uninspiring for a Superman movie. What they did to Pa Kent was a complete betrayal and pretty much why this version of Superman seems so fucked up. Its like if Uncle Ben had said "Abuse all your power, fuck responsibility".
So I'm far from Snyder's biggest defender. The way WB did him was bogus though. Let the man complete his vision at least before you dump him. They fired him in the middle of him completing his Superman trilogy. That hurt them way more than it would've had they just let it ride out.
For the record Kevin Tsujihara is out. Toby Emmerich is the overseer of these movies on the WB end and they hired James Wan's friend to redirect the DC end. Nevertheless Emmerich is no more better than Tsujihara was so I'll wait and see.
