I'm not, I just said black Americans should get those roles. You're the one complaining about my opinion and nothing will change. I'm not in here worried about why people think the opposite of me cause I don't care.
since you insist on doing this dance

lets dance

the fact that you are saying black americans should get those roles is in fact you complaining

im not trying to change your opinion. Im just trying to get you to see that as much as you claim that you arent complaining, you are

British actors are cheaper than American actors and some directors feel like they are better trained actors becausethey classically trained.Samuel L. Jackson felt Get Out could have been played by a Black American instead of Daniel.

Samuel L. Jackson response back in 2017 “Black Americans don’t have the opportunity to go to the U.K. and see if they can adapt the British accent and work. They do restrict us in an interesting sort of way. We’re not afforded that luxury. That’s what I was trying to say.”

It's a good read

Black Americans font play UK Black roles coz there aren't any

I kinda understand but unless a massive amount of African American people are losing jobs in this country due to this I feel it isn't that big of a deal. Plus he is a good actor

The one issue I do have is the fact that alot of the same (female & male) actors get the majority of the work. I feel that alot of studio heads, casting directors, producers, and directors have gotten hella risk averse when it comes to getting people to play roles. I understand that certain (female & male) actors can bring a certain respectability or excitement to a film while also bringing in built in fan bases but it would be nice not to see the same folks over and over in damn near every major theatrical release year in and year out.

have yall even read about fred hampton? like he has two very good books everyone should read instead of being hype for a hollywood remake on the informant that got him killed

you niggas need to be more protective of your culture, history, and ideas in general

There is definitely a noticeable amount of black foreigners getting most black roles lately.
The thought has crossed my mind on whether there's something else to it.
And the whole Nina Simone and Harriet Tubman thing only adds to my suspicions.

Other than that, I've never liked the characters Daniel Kuulya played.
I"ve typecasted him in my mind, so it'll be interesting to see if he can pull this off.

No.

it’s a movie bout to come out with to white dudes from the U.K. playing Deep Southern white boys.

I’m talking bout two big time actors.

They just shinning right now. Black or white don’t matter they killing the game.

you dont need an on screen adaptation to learn about Fred Hampton. you should have been studied his life and started implementing some of his teachings into your every day life

but no, yall still running to the ballot box and allowing hollyweird to control our images and narratives
