self image is not something to bullshit on......i ain't gonna lie or protect your feelings on something like that.....you need the truth.... and if it's something you're sensitive about you need it to sting...

knowing me, knowing my wife, if she asks me some shit like that she's expecting me to be blunt, cuz that bluntness might spark motivation....

the mistake buttering a chick up on something like this is you give the impression like it's not a big deal, you don't really care...

being honest is exactly that. no mixed messages

if i had to remove the sarcasm...i would say

"yes you are getting bigger, if you wanna take control of it we can work together, cuz i could benefit from losing weight as but i have noticed a difference"

His delivery was off. Some people want feedback but don't really want feedback. I'm a gym rat and I see ppl have a hard time getting their house in the gym but they spouse would eventually come with with someone else.
People respond differently.
 
i wouldn't bring it up on my own unless it was getting ridiculous...

like if she picked up like 50+ pounds and i could tell it was affecting her i'd say something..... but i would use a soft touch there because i would be the one bringing it up...

everytime my wife try to lose weight i start cooking food to fatten her up again.......

she get slim she may be too bad for me to keep track of....

Not sure what they were talking about before the "Am I Fat" question but that was a wild response from her. Her saying he doesn't compliment her anymore makes it seems like she had a feeling something was off and his response confirmed it. At least to her, it did. The weight gain might not be the reason he hasn't, her flying off the handle and blowing up might be tho.

nah, I just would of used better context. Dude said she is not fat, but you are getting chubby. he should of left out the chubby part and encouraged her to work on her body goals.

What y'all in, a blind relationship? She knows what her body look like. To me this was a back door into other issues ie him not flirting with her while she was drunk
