Classic or Nah?

It's a classic album, my generation will never give it props but if I cast my younger siblings and cousins they unanimously vote this album and IYRTITL as classic albums.
Aren't you a millennial? I think the overall consensus is that's it's a good album. The older millennials don't think it's a classic. But, to your point I agree to an extent that the younger millennial think so. I haven't hear people play that album in a long time or its hits.

The only album I actually hear in that era still is GKMC. So, comparing GKMC which is a certified classic to Take Care. Doesn't seem like they belong in the same category when saying Take Care is a classic.

Go listen to the "The Real Her", "We'll Be Fine", "Practice", and "Make Me Proud", and then come back and credibly explain how an album can be classic when 25% of it is straight trash.

Yup. One of the best albums of the 2010s and in all of hip hop history. 1 of his 4 *undisputed classics.

To our age group no but to the younger kids who grew up on Drake yes.

I think sometimes we gotta remember these kids didn't come up on Biggie and Pac like we did. To them Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye, Kendrick, Cole are their upbringing. Take Care opened the gates for SoundCloud artists and synth/new wave in rap as well as "trap soul" and many other sub genres.

I would put Big and Pac over G Rap, BDK, LL and Rakim but to niggas from that era they'd argue me into the ground.

Perfect explanaition. I bought Take Care because everybody was ranting and raving about Drake. I actually bought the CD when I could have just downloaded it.

I don't understand why anybody would even listen to Take Care much less why we're arguing if it's classic or not.

I was 18 when it dropped. This shit was in heavy rotation it was not for the old heads! I got a lot of pussy to this album and he still rapped on underground kings and lord knows. Classic!
