I liked NWTS better...

This.

I say give it at least 10 years to see if people still playing it. Unless classic is being used a different way..I'm old, yall young folks love switching round words...

Take Care is an instant classic... similar to Dr. Dre Chronic Album...shout to the Weekend for giving him a few songs...and intro to Kendrick Lamar to mainstream in the interlude

I think it's a classic too but please dont put it in the same category as the chronic lol

His best album? Arguable. Classic? No. But it's not even his best project. I still give that to SFG. And NWTS might be better too.

A classic under 10 years old is GKMC. If you put this on par with that album, then you need to have your muthafuckin’ head examined.

This generatiom shit is such a weak cop out.

Take Care is nowhere near the level of quality to be labelled a classic man would you guys raise your standards

To our age group no but to the younger kids who grew up on Drake yes.

I think sometimes we gotta remember these kids didn't come up on Biggie and Pac like we did. To them Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye, Kendrick, Cole are their upbringing. Take Care opened the gates for SoundCloud artists and synth/new wave in rap as well as "trap soul" and many other sub genres.

I would put Big and Pac over G Rap, BDK, LL and Rakim but to niggas from that era they'd argue me into the ground.

I didn't 'grow up' on any of those. This upbringin' stuff needs to stop it's still the same genre of music with the same rules

A 15 year old today isn't going to be exposed to Biggie and Pac unless they really go and search for it. It's not their generation. That's why you're gonna get kids saying Pac music is overrated (lil pump) or that NaS isn't better than Lil Wayne (lonzo ball). It's not their era and they owe it no loyalty. Ask them for a top 5 theyll say Kendrick, Cole, Drake, Wayne, and whoever.

Pac bein' overrated is a fair opinion imo but that's another topic.

It's not about loyalty it's about quality. If kids think Take Care is a classic more life to them but on an esoteric hip hop forum it's a good album at absolute best

And that's our opinion. I think it's outlandish to say Pac music is overrated. It is what it is.

Yeah but the difference is consistency. I can explain my opinion without sayin' anything like 'its a generational thing' or 'its just my opinion'. The same reason I believe Pac is overrated is the same reason I wouldn't put K.Dot or Drake in my top 5; they aren't good enough rappers.
