Nah humanity spent majority of the time movingLiving your whole life in the same place is crazy to me. That said, it was probably the norm for most of human history.
Nah humanity spent majority of the time moving
In the grand scheme we started settling down for our entire lives only recently
Ohhh now I understand what you mean nowYou're right. Humans were hunter gatherers for a long time. I was talking more about when they started to settle down in towns and cities. I could be wrong, but I don't think people were really moving around much at that point. Uprooting and transplanting yourself, everything you own, and everyone in your family to a different place was a bigger ordeal than it is now.

Why leave a place you're comfortable in?
To see what else is out there. A lot of time comfort is born of ignorance. You're cool with your situation because you don't know there's something better. There's nothing stopping you from returning if you find that it really is the best thing for you.
That's all well and good but when you're happy where you are then moving just to move doesn't seem like something to do.
