Do You Live In The Same City You Were Raised In?

Yes

I lived 2 blocks away from my child home.
Before that I lived in East Flatbush across the street from Wingate Park

I purchased a burned brownstone with some help from my family and Navy Federal.

I used to live right across from Fabulous

Nah humanity spent majority of the time moving

In the grand scheme we started settling down for our entire lives only recently

You're right. Humans were hunter gatherers for a long time. I was talking more about when they started to settle down in towns and cities. I could be wrong, but I don't think people were really moving around much at that point. Uprooting and transplanting yourself, everything you own, and everyone in your family to a different place was a bigger ordeal than it is now.

Ohhh now I understand what you mean now

Yeah that’s true

Different city same state. I’ll never leave NC unless the job offers a fat promotion to do so. If that happens though I’ll be in London or somewhere in South America or Asia.

I love NC. Not too big, not too small. Mountains and beach 3 hours from me. Charlotte and Raleigh a little over an hour away.

Good food and generally nice people. Racism isn’t crazy, just the occasional confederate flag, but people don’t fuck with you.

Crime isn’t too crazy, but you know where not to venture.

Weather is typically nice, just the occasional tornado warning, but I’ve never been hit by one personally.

To see what else is out there. A lot of time comfort is born of ignorance. You're cool with your situation because you don't know there's something better. There's nothing stopping you from returning if you find that it really is the best thing for you.

word.. the world is a big place.

I've done like 3 big moves in my life and that feels like a small amount to me. conservatively I got maybe got 1 or 2 left in me but who knows what the future may bring

That's all well and good but when you're happy where you are then moving just to move doesn't seem like something to do.

I dont think anyone is saying move just for the sake of moving. Most times folks move out of necessity.. or they want to see/experience something different. Some folks want to make a new start etc.

Have you travelled anywhere and thought maybe you could see yourself living there or that thought never crossed your mind?
