Do You Live In The Same City You Were Raised In?

You don't feel like you're missing out on better opportunities or new perspectives by staying in the same place your whole life?
This isn't as black and white to me in general but specifically when Katrina happened, I had to move back home

I am in no way asking for the violins to be played cause I know people personally that are still fucked up over Katrina and their lives have never been the same

My support system was back home and at the time so were the opportunities

The ONLY thing I regret is not taking my aunt up on her offer to come live with her and my cousin in Atlanta (or right outside Atlanta) for a few months to try and make something shake out there

I don't feel like my story is over though. I could be in another area in a few years once my daughter turns 18

Live about an hour and a half away

“Yellin Compton, but ya moved to Riversiiiiide!”

Lived in several other states for a short time, but I had to come home to Cali. For all its problems, just ain’t no where else like it.

And aside from cost of housing at the time, and the strip clubs… I was thoroughly unimpressed by Texas

In Jersey me and the white guy can look down on the nigga pulling up in the 2003 Benz with 175k miles

Can’t do that in Stone Mountain while I’m running from the klan

$$$ >>> race in Jersey
