sorry to hear about x passing......... black people wake up....... why is it in our community that we pray for a celebrity that was facing death battling a drug addiction but won't pray for a member in your own direct family facing the same situation?

For some folks family can be their greatest source of pain. Certain celebs---especially someone as authentic a human as DMX--can be their light in the dark. Someone that brings understanding and peace to confusion.
But ultimately it's not your business to inform others how to grieve. You don't know what it is that brings that man or woman peace. It's better to just keep scrolling than chiming in and trying to make sense of what's honestly none of yours, my or anyone else's business to begin with.
