DMX Passes Away (RIP Earl "DMX" Simmons, Long Live X)

This shit hit me so hard at work. His music used to be the soundtrack to my life. I listened to Flesh of My Flesh on on TAPE. Flipped the shit over and over and over until when we were about to move, I took it out the radio to make sure it didn't get broke and the shit fell apart in my hands. Crushed me because we were poor back then and that shit was my world.

I never got to see him live or meet him, but I knew his story up until a point. His music helped me articulate a lot of what I was going through. I hope the brother finds nothing but peace. I can't even fuck with the comment sections involving him if it ain't nothing but well wishes. Feel like I lost family today. RIP to the man. RIP to the dog. RIP to the legend.

Man I put on X Gon Give It to Ya then followed that up with Where the Hood At and before I knew it I was swerving in and out of traffic at about 90 mph, lol. Had to slow that shit down cause I ain’t drive like that since I was in my 20’s, lol.
